This past weekend a friend and high school classmate of mine, Amy Wooddell, had a major stroke while she was in Washington D.C. for the law school graduation of her brother. They rushed Amy to the hospital and discovered that the stroke had been caused by a blood clot. They quickly got her into surgery to break up the clot, and she endured a 7 1/2 hr procedure. She also was placed on a ventilator. Although she is breathing some on her own she remains in a coma. Amy just recently married my good friend, Jonny, in December. I have always been impressed by the strong faith that they both possess. Please pray for healing power for Amy and continued strength for Jonny as he patiently waits at her side.
